Ariocarpus fissuratus
AL 606 Sierra de San Vicente, TX, USA
Very rough and irregular in appearance. Medium sized flattened stems, tubercles with poorly defined lateral grooves and narrow areolar furrow, epidermis is rough and papillose. Tubercles acquire a distinctive white waxy coating with age, to match their natural habitat where they grow imbedded among rocks on low hills consisting of pure white limestone, a very impressive sight.
Please read the germination instructions for Ariocarpus.
