Ariocarpus retusus cv. ‘Seiji Brevituberosus’
ex Japan
One of the best Japanese Ariocarpus cultivars. Impressive large plants grow to a diameter of >18 cm on their own roots. The epithet ‘Seiji’ refers to the unique body color which closely resembles the distinctive whitish-blue green glaze of Japanese celadon pottery. Tightly packed wide and short tubercles. Flowers from white to light pink. F1 seed produced from a single pair of original Japanese plants – a kind gift from a distinguished Japanese collector.
Parent plants are shown in all the illustrations, except the last one, which is a seedling.
Please read the germination instructions for Ariocarpus.
