A beautiful A. fissuratus population of robust plants often reaching a diameter of more than 12 cm, growing imbedded in pure white limestone. Large wide tubercles with well defined lateral grooves and strong fissures, morphology typical of the Texas form. Under strong light older tubercles acquire a silver-grey waxy coating giving the plant an attractive white rock-like appearance.
