AL 857 Ariocarpus fissuratus are attractive plants with flattened woolly stem with distinct epidermal coloration in various tones of reddish brown, acquiring a gray-white waxy coating with time. Wide highly sculptured tubercles, with well defined lateral grooves, clear fissures and large wide areoles producing ample wool, giving the plants a fluffy look.

Seed grown, never grafted  2011 – 15 yrs old
