Remarkable most unusual epidermal color, brownish green at first but turning purplish red and then chalk white with age. Rough epidermal structure, tubercles slightly upcurving and sharply pointed at the tip, with prominent horizontal fissures and lateral grooves. Limited F1 seed from a small but very distinctive population.
