E. horizonthalonius seeds intrinsically have low germination rates and therefore some treatment is required to increase it. Apart from pre-soaking in water for 24 hrs (which may help and does no harm), we cannot recommend any of the specific treatments cited in the literature, as the results vary widely for different growers. Experimentation is required.
